Some words from Brother Drew Bottimore I've been fortunate enough to have had a number of internships over the past few years. They have all been rewarding in different ways, but the job I had this past summer was especially enjoyable and helpful in terms of career development and direction.
I interned for the international arm of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, primarily helping with the establishment of two country-specific initiatives, geared towards increasing market access and investment for American companies and their subsidiaries operating in Eastern Europe. I not only had the privilege of building relationships with incredible people, but this experience also solidified my interest in going into the international affairs and global strategy side of business. I very rarely find people as big-picture-minded and career development-oriented as my brothers in AKPsi, especially in college. Mark Twain once said, "The secret to getting ahead is getting started." By surrounding myself with people like my brothers, I have been both inspired and enabled to "get started."
